Regula visited the Brest Regional Museum to share its latest technological developments with the restoration experts of the museum. In order to improve the technology of examination and restoration of documents, paintings, icons and other works of art, the company representatives provided training on the use of the spectral luminescent microscope Regula 5001МК.01. During the training process, original antiques from the museum collections were analyzed.
The aim of the visit is to enhance science and technology cooperation and to create a special examination complex which will significantly simplify the challenging work of restoration experts.
“Before restoration, the object is examined in details using micro and macro photography, ultraviolet, infrared illumination, etc. This expert equipment will help us to tackle many different tasks that our specialists encounter during the restoration process”.
Zoya Nerezko, chief curator of the Brest Regional Museum
“Our museum collections have many valuable works of art which require restoration. We are grateful to Regula for the opportunity to use the world-class equipment. It will help us to carry out high-quality restoration of these works of art and to exhibit them. Everybody will benefit from this cooperation: the company, the museum and its visitors”.
Alexey Mityukov, the director of the Brest Regional Museum
Regula in its turn thanks the experts of the Brest Regional Museum for the help and consultation in the field, which is new for the company, and expresses hope for further fruitful cooperation.
