ACO Qmax® was installed at Belfast Airport – to read the full case study click here.

  • ACO S Range - Heavy Duty Channel Drainage

ACO S Range is a channel drainage system designed to provide efficient removal of surface water in heavy duty applications.

Manufactured from Vienite®, ACO’s sustainable high strength material, ACO S Range is a tough channel drainage system with excellent chemical resistance.

The system is available in four channel widths (100, 150, 200 and 300mm) and is provided in constant and sloping depths for optimum performance and system design.

Fully CE marked and certified to Load Class F900 BS EN 1433:2002

  • Monolithic Channels

ACO MultiDrain™ MonoDrain PD100D is a one-piece channel system which delivers low cost, secure surface water drainage with long lasting aesthetics for a wide range of pedestrian and vehicle applications.

ACO MonoDrain PD100D is a simple yet versatile channel drainage system for surface water conveyance which has been specifically developed to meet the demands of contractors and clients alike. Designed to maintain the long term performance and appearance of the installation, its robust one piece construction removes the risks associated with dislodged or stolen gratings – providing a highly effective alternative to traditional two part channel and grating systems.

Manufactured from Vienite®, ACO’s high performance recycled material, the system delivers the highest levels of quality, installation and environmental benefits required for modern construction projects, yet has none of the performance compromises associated with other recycled materials on the market.

The 1m channel units form the core of the range and are available in five constant depths. They range in height from 135mm, ideal where installation depths maybe restricted, to the deepest 305mm unit for maximum hydraulic performance.

ACO MonoDrain™ PD100D channels are constructed in one-piece with an integral Heelguard™ grating, making the product incredibly strong and robust.

The 100mm wide channels are available as standard in Black Vienite to typically complement asphalt pavements. To provide designers with greater choice, ACO MonoDrain PD100D is also available in natural or grey colour options. Maintenance is provided for by lockable rodding access points, sumps and gully units which allow the system to be simply and efficiently cleaned by standard jetting equipment.

Specification couldn’t be easier as all channels and accessories are certificated to BS EN 1433:2002 load class D 400*, making the system suitable for a range applications.

*ACO MonoDrain PD100D system is not suitable for carriageways of public roads or motorways – for these application consider the use of ACO RoadDrain

ACO RoadDrain is a tough one piece channel drainage system ideal for medium to heavy-duty highway, distribution yards and airfield applications.

Manufactured from Vienite, ACO high strength recycled polymer concrete, the one piece system is strong and robust in design and the absence of separate gratings eliminates the risk of loss or vandalism. The integral channel and grating design also improves the inherent strength of the system.

Most significantly ACO RoadDrain carries the BSI Kitemark which ensures that the recycled materials and the process used to manufacture it, produce consistently high quality BS EN 1433: 2002 marked product. The product is also fully compliant with national highways and transport agencies (UK) and National Roads Authority (ROI) requirements for motorway and major trunk roads.

ACO RoadDrain is available in two channel widths; 100mm and 200mm and has a variety of depths to suit many design schemes. Each unit within the range is 500mm in length to enable quick and simple installation. The system has a full range of accessories for simple connection to underground drainage. System maintenance is simplified by using ACO RoadDrain rodding access units.

ACO RoadDrain is certified to BS EN 1433: 2002 and can support Load Class performance up to and including F 900 – Ideal for very high wheel loads including Airports and Docks.

ACO RoadDrain meets all specification requirements:

    • Fully compliant to the Specification for Highway Works
    • Kitemarked to BS EN 1433:2002
    • Certified by a notified body to BS EN 1433: 2002 Load Class F 900
    • CE marked by a notified body
  • ACO KerbDrain® - Kerb and Drainage System

ACO KerbDrain® is an award winning combined kerb and drainage system specifically designed and developed to form an integral part of any modern, sustainable surface water management solution. It is the first combined kerb drainage system of its kind to use recycled materials and be independently certified and Kitemarked to BS EN 1433: 2002. The one-piece system is suitable for a wide range of applications including major and minor highways, car parks, and commercial and urban landscaping.

ACO KerbDrain® provides many versatile solutions for both SUDS schemes and traditional drainage systems. Engineers and designers are able to combine the benefits of both “hard” and “soft” SUDS to achieve the key elements of quality, quantity and amenity.

Since its launch in the late 1990’s, over 750,000m of ACO KerbDrain® has been supplied to a wide variety of projects in both the UK and mainland Europe. In recognition of ACO KerbDrain’s® ground breaking one-piece design, the system was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation in 2001.

ACO KerbDrain® has a range of units to match HB1, HB2 and 45° splayed profiles, and a selection of depths and lengths to meet the hydraulic and performance requirements of many highway or drainage schemes.

The system also benefits from an extensive range of complementary and problem solving components including perforated and flush centre stones, drop kerbs, radius and mitred units, internal angles, quadrants, and bus stop units.

ACO KerbDrain® meets all specification requirements:
