Qseven Carrier Boards
Connect Tech’s PCIe/104 Qseven Carrier Board and PCI-104 Qseven Carrier Board solutions are small embedded carrier boards that allow complete integration with industry standard Qseven modules. The PCIe/104 Qseven Carrier Board utilizes the PC/104 form factor with 4 x1 PCIe lanes, while the PCI-104 Qseven Carrier Board utilizes the PC/104 form factor and the PCI-104 bus, with support for up to four PCI-104 boards.
The on-board connectors of our Qseven products provide access to SATA, USB, Ethernet, LVDS and VGA Video, and RS-232 & RS-422/485. Embedded processor options include Intel Atom, Freescale i.MX51, TI OMAP and NVIDIA Tegra, which are easily upgradeable to accommodate future generations of Intel Atom processors, such as Intel Atom E6xx, or ARM based processors, such as Cortex A8.
Our commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Qseven solutions enable rapid proof of concept and deployment. For modified solutions, our Engineering Team is skilled at delivering cost-effective, customized products within a narrow timeline.
Single Board Computers
Connect Tech’s Xtreme/SBC PCIe/104 and PCI-104 Single Board Computers offer a variety of embedded processor options including Intel Atom, Freescale i.MX51, TI OMAP and NVIDIA Tegra. Xtreme/SBC solutions are modular and completely scalable, with access to current embedded processors that are easily upgradeable to accommodate future generations of Intel Atom processors, such as Intel Atom E6xx, or ARM based processors, such as Cortex A8.
The PCIe/104 Single Board Computer utilizes the PCIe/104 form factor with 4 x1 PCIe lanes, while the PCI-104 Single Board Computer utilizes the PCI-104 form factor, with support for up to four peripheral boards. Xilinx and Actel FPGA Solutions
Connect Tech’s FPGA products include Xilinx based FPGAs including Virtex-6, Virtex-5, Spartan-6, Spartan-3E, and the Actel ProASIC3 FPGA.
Xilinx Based FPGAs: Connect Tech’s FreeForm PCI Express is a flexible, reconfigurable FPGA based on the Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA. FreeForm PCI Express utilizes the PCIex1 lane form factor and takes advantage of the high bandwidth capabilities of the PCIe bus, while communicating with various high speed interfaces. The FPGA Mezzanine Card provides additional I/O interfaces which enables users to create a modified control solution that is uniquely suited to individual applications. Additional features include 128MB DDR1 or DDR3 RAM upgradeable to 256MB, low pin count (LPC) FMC connector, optional 10/100/1000 Ethernet and RS-232 debug port.
Connect Tech’s FreeForm/104 and FreeForm/PCI-104 products feature a reconfigurable FPGA based on the Xilinx Spartan 3E and Virtex-5 FPGA. The versatility and high speed processing core of our FreeForm products makes it ideal for applications including DSP, software defined radio, aerospace, defense systems, computer hardware emulation, production or laboratory testing and industrial process monitoring and control.
Customized FPGA configurations can be developed easily by the user with Xilinx’s free ISE WebPACK software, or through Connect Tech’s Engineering Services.
Actel ProASIC3 Based FPGA: Connect Tech’s Xtreme I/O Opto features digital I/O with isolation and high voltage capabilities, along with the reconfigurable Actel ProASIC3 FPGA for customized applications. Xtreme I/O Opto is designed with 48 isolated digital I/O channels – 24 optically isolated inputs and 24 optically isolated outputs, 2kV RMS isolation on all channels, a voltage range of +0 to +40V DC, and the programmable Actel ProASIC3 FPGA. The ProASIC3 low-cost, low-power consumption FPGA supports up to 3,000,000 gates and up to 620 high-performance I/Os. Xtreme I/O Opto is ideal for demanding embedded technology applications in the military, aerospace, medical and industrial sectors. Synchronous/Asynchronous Device Server
Connect Tech offers high performance, reliable synchronous/asynchronous serial communications boards suitable for a variety of industrial and embedded applications.
Our BlueHeat/Net Sync external device server is based on the robust uCLinux (Linux embedded operating system). It can be programmed with application specific protocols. Blue Heat/Net Sync incorporates multiple electrical interfaces and remote configurability to free devices from a physical connection. Remote access increases location flexibility and simplifies future installations or upgrades, reducing costs.
Connect Tech also offers synchronous/asynchronous serial cards for PC/104 and PCI/104. Our synchronous serial cards and devices offer maximum flexibility, software selectable electrical interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, RS-449, EIA-530, EIA-530A, V.35 and X.21), multiple protocols (SDLC, HDLC, MonoSync, Transparent BiSync, Async, external character sync, etc.) and encoding schemes to ensure your hardware solution is ideally suited to your specific application.
