Bahrain International Airport

Bahrain International Airport is the international airport of Bahrain. Located on Muharraq Island, adjacent to the capital Manama, it serves as the hub for the national carrier Gulf Air. The airport is managed by the Bahrain Airport Company. Established in 1927, it is the Persian Gulf’s oldest international airport.

With its advanced technology and convenience-oriented approach, the new Passenger Terminal aims to put Bahrain International Airport on the global aviation map alongside the world’s leading smart airports. It was designed to enhance efficiency and security while meeting passengers’ growing expectations for a more seamless airport experience. Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) is the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), the gateway that connects the Kingdom with the world. Since assuming the responsibility of managing and operating the airport in 2010, BAC has cemented BIA’s reputation as an attractive hub for airlines and passengers.
