Mobile ATC Tower

Description
Specifications

With nearly 40 years of experience, AMPER Group is a global leader in the design and manufacture of Mobile ATC Towers for both civilian and military applications. Our solutions consist of a high-performance ATC Cabin integrated into a transportable shelter platform, housing all mission-critical systems required to manage airfield traffic and regional sectors with the same reliability as a fixed facility. Ensuring a scalable, interoperable and high-availability solution for ATC operations in all conditions.

Core Capabilities & Technology

  • Operational Parity: Our mobile units provide the same functional capabilities as fixed control towers, ensuring secure, high-availability Ground-to-Ground (G/G) and Ground-to-Air (G/A) communications in any environment.
  • The Heart of the System: At the core of our solution is the ULISES V5000i VoIP VCS. Developed entirely by AMPER Group, this world-class system enables seamless access to radio channels and telephone lines for multiple controllers and operators.
  • Versatile & Cost-Effective: By combining COTS components with a tailor-made design approach, we deliver high-spec solutions that optimize project costs without compromising on operational power.

The ATC cabin is built according to the specifications and dimensions of ISO 20 (1 C) type containers, so it can be easily transported by truck, aircraft, helicopter or by road. Once installed on a heavy-duty lifting trailer, only a tow vehicle is required.

  • Rapid Deployment: Engineered for tactical operations, the system can be quickly relocated and activated between different sites.
  • Total Autonomy: The unit is fully self-sufficient, featuring an integrated power generation unit and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for continuous emergency operations.

APPLICATIONS

Our Mobile ATC Towers are designed for high-stakes environments, including:

  • Contingency & Emergency: Immediate replacement during fixed tower failures or maintenance.
  • Tactical & Military: Rapid deployment for field operations and temporary airfields.
  • Remote operations: Traffic control for offshore platforms and emergency landing zones.
  • Training: Serving as a parallel ATC training simulator for controller instruction.
  • Special Events: Managing increased traffic for air shows or high-profile events.

Hardware Characteristics:

  • COTS Platforms
  • Monitoring probes within the network infrasreucture.
