Gerald R. Ford International Airport

Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) is the principal commercial airport serving Grand Rapids and West Michigan, providing an important gateway for business and leisure travel across the region. Located southeast of Grand Rapids, the airport is Michigan’s second-busiest and offers nonstop connections to more than 35 destinations through eight commercial airline partners. Managed and operated by the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority, the airport supports passenger, cargo, general aviation and corporate aviation operations, while playing an important role in the economic development and connectivity of West Michigan.

The airport is undertaking a major programme of investment through its ELEVATE capital expansion programme, which is designed to increase capacity, modernise facilities and enhance the passenger experience. Projects include terminal expansion, additional gates, upgraded baggage inspection and handling infrastructure, expanded parking, a consolidated rental car facility and the relocation of the air traffic control tower. A major Terminal Enhancement Project is adding new passenger-processing space and advanced baggage-handling technology, while the wider programme continues to position Gerald R. Ford International Airport for long-term growth and increasing demand for air travel in the region.
