Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is pleased to participate in Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025, taking place this week at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (Durban ICC). As one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African continent and a key fixture on the global travel calendar, the Indaba serves as a powerful platform to spotlight Africa’s tourism potential, drive strategic partnerships, and unlock economic opportunity.

With a focus on this year’s theme, Unlimited Africa, the event is a celebration of the continent’s rich tourism assets and its commitment to innovation, authenticity, and sustainability. For ACSA, it is an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the conversation on the future of African travel and tourism, while sharing our organisational strategy: Innovate, Grow, Sustain.

The ACSA delegation is led by Group Executive: Commercial and Business Development, Ms. Lauriette Sesoko, Chief Strategy and Performance Officer, Ms. Thabile Mathe, and Regional General Manager at King Shaka International Airport (KSIA), Mr. Nkosinathi Myataza. As custodians of South Africa’s primary aviation gateways, our participation reflects a deep commitment to advancing the growth and resilience of the tourism sector – a vital pillar of the country’s economy.

Connecting people to people, places, dreams, and opportunities is not only our value proposition – it is the essence of our mission. We recognise the transformative economic contribution that travel, and tourism make to South Africa’s broader development and sustainability. Events such as Africa’s Travel Indaba allow us to forge stronger linkages across the tourism value chain, drive investment into destination infrastructure, and ensure that our airports remain enablers of inclusive growth.

This year’s Indaba has so far sparked dynamic discussions around owning Africa’s narrative, embracing innovation and technology, and deepening collaboration across borders. ACSA is energised by the possibilities ahead and remains committed to providing world-class airport infrastructure and services that support South Africa’s competitive position as a global travel destination.

We thank South African Tourism for hosting another exceptional Africa’s Travel Indaba and for this  platform that champions African excellence, partnership, and progress.
