Belgrade Airport, member of the VINCI Airports network since 2018, has become the first airport worldwide offering free off grid, all-solar charging of e-vehicles.
In partnership with Beam Global, five independent EV ARC™ solar stations have been installed deployed at the Airport’s Premium Parking P1, enabling passengers and visitors to charge their vehicles using renewable energy sources. This initiative reflects VINCI Airports’ commitment to decarbonizing the entire mobility chain while offering the best possible quality of service to passengers.
Each station can charge two vehicles simultaneously, which is particularly relevant for high-frequency locations such as Belgrade Airport.
This project represents a milestone in developing sustainable infrastructure in Serbia and actively contributes to the airport’s innovation and environmental accountability. Belgrade Airport is advancing this approach through various initiatives, using energy from the solar park at the Airport, arranging green areas, waste recycling and maintaining biodiversity.
“We are very proud that we have the opportunity to introduce this ground-breaking innovative solution for our passengers. Combination of our commitment to environmental sustainability and partnership with companies such as BEAM Global confirm that it is possible to ensure provide additional comfort for passengers with a minimum impact on the living environment. Charging vehicles using solar energy is an important step towards our goal – net zero CO₂ emission by 2050.” said Chivoine Rem, Belgrade Airport CEO.
