Belo Horizonte Airport inaugurates new stores in the first quarter

Expectation is to open ten more operations in the terminal, reaching 110 by the end of the year.

Whether for convenience or leisure: the shopping and services experience at BH Airport is becoming increasingly comprehensive, with the terminal reaching the mark of 100 operations with 5 more inaugurations in the first quarter of 2024. There were three stores in the food area, one in clothing/sportswear, and also a VIP lounge. The expectation is that ten more operations will be inaugurated in 2024.

Passengers moving through the terminal already find more dessert options. In this first quarter, two operations with this focus were inaugurated, one being a new unit of the fine chocolates brand Kopenhagen, located in the central area of the lobby, and an operation dedicated to desserts from McDonald’s, in the arrival area 2.

Also in the food area, My Mini Cake snack bar was inaugurated, located in a space designed to serve the over a thousand app drivers who circulate through the terminal and await passenger rides. Located in the terminal’s support building, the establishment operates daily from 6 am to 8 pm and features restrooms, a covered balcony with benches, Wi-Fi coverage, power outlets, a water fountain, and the snack bar offering various affordable snack options.

In the clothing/sportswear area, BH Airport inaugurated in February the Galo Lounge Experience Store. Dedicated to Atletico Mineiro’s passion, the space provides a unique experience for fans and is pioneering in the country within an airport. Interactive panels, virtual reality, special decoration, Instagrammable area, exhibitions, official products, among other attractions are available for passengers who share this passion.

“Nearly 1 million people pass through the airport every month, and, aiming to enhance this travel experience, we seek to offer the best services, whether through our service team or through the conveniences we can add during the journey. We are committed to continuously expanding the terminal’s commercial mix, considering different needs, tastes, and budgets,” highlights Lucas Malachias, Retail and Hospitality Manager of BH Airport.

VIP Lounges

In addition to the stores, BH Airport also inaugurated a new Ambaar Lounge VIP Room, located between gates 2 and 3 of the domestic departure area. The space operates daily from 4:30 am to 11 pm, offering a complete buffet, restrooms, internet, TV, flight information panels, and exclusive areas to relax and work, including private workstations. It is expected that another VIP lounge will also be inaugurated this year in the domestic departure area.
