Belo Horizonte Airport is the best and most punctual airport in Brazil in the category of largest terminals

Conducted by the National Civil Aviation Secretariat (SAC) of the Ministry of Ports and Airports, the award recognizes excellence in the Brazilian aviation sector.

BH Airport has been recognized as the best and most punctual airport in Brazil in the category of largest airports by the Aviation + Brazil Award from the National Civil Aviation Secretariat (SAC). In its ninth edition, the award was presented during a ceremony in Brasília on Thursday (25), with the participation of the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho.

The award evaluated 61 airports in the country based on the results of the Passenger Satisfaction Survey conducted by SAC throughout 2023 and awarded regional and national airports in the categories of overall satisfaction and punctuality. In the category of over 10 million passengers, BH Airport received both awards, being considered the best in passenger satisfaction and the most punctual in Brazil.

“Leading the ranking of the best and most punctual among the largest in Brazil in an award that reflects passenger satisfaction is very rewarding and reinforces our commitment to offering the best experience to our passengers. In addition to punctuality and safety, which are key aspects in airport operation, we are also attentive to travelers’ journey experience, offering a comfortable, functional, inclusive environment with a wide range of commercial operations and services. All this without forgetting our social and environmental legacy, which is also among our priorities,” said the CEO of BH Airport, Daniel Miranda.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, reaffirmed the social and economic importance of the aviation sector and congratulated the award organization, which stimulates the development of airports in the country. “Aviation is not only transportation but above all social inclusion, it is business tourism, leisure tourism, it is organ transportation, and we need to increasingly present to the country the role of airlines and airports in the economy of Brazil,” he said.

Best in Quality Indicator (Q Factor) among concessioned airports

In addition to SAC recognition, BH Airport also achieved the best result in the quality of services provided by concessioned airports in 2023, according to ANAC. The measurement is conducted annually by the association, based on service indicators such as thermal comfort, time in inspection queues, baggage retrieval, cleanliness, among others. BH Airport achieved a 2% index, the best result of the Q Factor, a service quality instrument that evaluates performance from -7.5% to 2%.
