Belo Horizonte Airport opens 27 stores in eleven months

Commercial and service mix continues to expand at the airport, which includes stores and kiosks

BH Airport remains committed to offering the best airport experience to customers, which includes the commercial mix offered. Over these eleven months, 27 stores were opened throughout the terminal, both retail and food, which demonstrates the airport’s attention to the quality of services provided to passengers, visitors and the airport community. The latest launch was Das Gerais, Café e Cozinha, in the airport lobby, close to Azul check-in.

“We operate almost like a shopping mall, where passengers and visitors find everything they need in one place, within a modern, beautiful and functional environment. Today, we have a mix of around 90 commercial operations in our terminal, committed to providing a unique travel experience to passengers and strengthening our airport as a connection hub that offers diversified solutions for coexistence, shopping, food and service provision” , highlights Daniel Miranda, CEO of BH Airport.

During the first half of 2023, the Dufry Mezanino was opened (in front of the domestic departure entrance), Lotérica Boa Viagem, in the lobby, in front of Check-in 1 at Azul, and the tables area at Forneria Ouro Preto , also in the airport lobby, but next to Azul Check-in 1. Passenger Terminal 1, completely modernized, also gained new stores: Dufry Last Minute and Aerokids (both in front of gate 3), Air Farma (in front of gate 4), Kopenhagen (launching the second store at the airport, among the gates 4 and 5), Pizza Hut (also with the second store, this time between gates 1 and 2), in addition to Subway, with the third operation, located between gates 1 and 2.

The kiosks opened at the airport are from The Coffee (between gates 2 and 3), Doog (in front of gate 3, with the second operation at the airport), plus a Strelar kiosk (between gates 1 and 2) and the third kiosk ChilliBeans (between gates 1 and 2). Aerobags, which operates 24 hours a day, has three new ventures; one next to Check-in 1, a second next to Check-in 2 and the third in the International Check-in area. The Bendizê kiosk arrived in the lobby, in front of Pizza Hut, next to Check-in 2, Gol and Latam. It is worth mentioning that Dufry operates from 6am to 10:30pm; while Subway, Strelar, Aerokids, Doog and Chilli Beans are open from 7am to 10pm. A Click and Collect luggage storage was also opened, located in the central access corridor to Conexão Aeroporto, and another Go Box unit, now a store located in the departure lounge, in front of gate 4.

The second semester began with the opening of the Made In Beagá kiosk. Located in the domestic departure lounge, in front of gate 24, the operation offers souvenirs from the capital of Minas Gerais. Then, it was McDonald’s turn to arrive at the domestic departure lounge, close to gate 24. The brand will also have a dessert kiosk in the public area of the terminal, close to the Arrivals 2 exit, with access to the general public.

Milklândia was also opened, a chocolate kiosk located in the domestic departure lounge, in front of gate 27. Afterwards, the Giraffas store began offering meal options for all budgets and tastes, with its operation in the airport lounge. Then, it was the turn of Belo Bar, a restaurant that opened its doors in the domestic departure lounge, in front of gate 1. In addition, MyMiniCake is now located in the lobby, close to Gol/Latam check-in. The other unit is in the domestic departure lounge, in front of gate 4. Rei do Mate was one of the last stores to open and is located in the lobby, close to Azul check-in.

To end the year, there are still new openings planned, such as the traditional Seu Elias barbershop, the Galo Na Veia Lounge Experience, which will be a space dedicated to the club’s fans, offering an interactive and immersive experience to travelers who pass by, in addition of another VIP lounge for domestic boarding, at Ambaar Lounge.

Doors open for the biggest legal event in the country

Strengthening itself as a connection hub, BH Airport will be the gateway for thousands of lawyers who will participate in the 24th National Conference of Brazilian Law, which will be held in the capital of Minas Gerais, between the 27th and 29th of November.

At Minas Gerais’ international airport, there will be a reserved VIP space to welcome participants. The place will be open until November 30th, from 9am to 7pm, close to check-in 2.
