Belo Horizonte Airport announces new model of the Industrial Airport

Minas Gerais international terminal fosters competitiveness and business opportunities with advanced logistics, multimodality and optimized solutions

Expanding the fronts of action of the first and only Industrial Airport in the country, the BH Airport Intermodal Logistics Hub takes another big step towards the consolidation of the Minas Gerais international terminal as a provider of logistical, tax and management solutions for companies. The novelty takes effect from March, offering two personalized, optimized and flexible business models to boost the operation of the Industrial Airport of BH Airport: Advanced Inventory and Industrial Warehouse.

The evolution in the negotiation format favors business profiles that move imported raw materials, framed in the Advanced Inventory model, which use security processes, technology and operation of an industrial area without the consent of the Federal Revenue Service of Brazil. With the new option, inventory management becomes the responsibility of the company itself, which continues to rely on the structure and services of the Cargo Terminal at BH Airport as a common customs warehouse (storage of cargo and partial release, as needed) .

The Industrial Bonded Warehouse format remains active and serves companies focused on export, maintaining the adequacy of processes in a bonded area and the benefits of tax exemption. In this model, inventory management continues to be operated by the BH Airport team, and the security, technology and operation processes follow the standards of the Federal Revenue of Brazil.

The evolution of the Industrial Airport model aims to bring greater industrial density to the Northern Vector of the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region, leveraging its growth in yet another pioneering initiative and showing BH Airport at the forefront of the foreign trade ecosystem in the State of Minas Gerais, which still connects the industry to efficient solutions by sky, land and sea“, assesses the manager of the Multimodal Logistics Hub at BH Airport, Marcelo Farias.
