BH International Airport Has Gone Pink for October

Minas Gerais terminal supports the Pink October campaign in the alert for the prevention of breast and cervical cancer

Throughout this month, Belo Horizonte International Airport has some of its spaces lit up in pink. The objective is to strengthen the awareness campaign that alerts women and society about the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer and, recently, of the cervix, the Pink October.

Data from the National Cancer Institute (Inca) indicate that breast cancer is the type of cancer that most affects women in the country (excluding non-melanoma skin tumors), with higher rates in the South and Southeast regions. For the year 2022, 66,280 new cases were estimated, which represents an adjusted incidence rate of 43.74 cases per 100,000 women.
