Elevators, sidewalks and escalators to be replaced at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport

The National Airports Company of Bucharest is accelerating the modernization process of the “Henri Coandă” Airport and announces the completion of the tender for the replacement of moving walkways, elevators and escalators within the airport.

Thus, 19 elevators, 19 escalators, 4 moving walkways, 2 platforms for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) will be replaced and 2 additional such platforms will be installed.

An integrated monitoring system for the new installations and modernized equipment will also be created.

The contract has a value of 24,390,592 lei.

The company TK Elevator Eastern Europe GmbH Vienna Bucharest Branch registered for the auction organized by CNAB as the lead bidder, along with the companies TEKA Danes Instal, Mega Moni and Creative Home Construct.

The replacement and modernization of equipment will be implemented in stages, over three years, to minimize passenger discomfort.
