GHIAL signs MOU with Young India Skill University, an initiative by the Government of Telangana to enhance skill development for Telangana Youth

GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Young India Skill University to enhance aviation skill development for the youth of Telangana. The partnership will provide various aviation training programs and certifications, specially designed to strengthen workforce skills and meet the growing demands of the aviation industry.

YISU is an initiative by the Government of Telangana aimed at addressing skills and employability gap within the state and nation. This futuristic initiative aligns with the state’s strategic vision to strengthen workforce skills, create job opportunities for youth, boost economic growth and attract economic development. YISU will combine classroom coaching with hands- on industry driven training to equip students with the skills needed to meet the changing demands across sectors, including aviation sector. The university’s key features include robust industry partnerships, and a commitment to ongoing innovation with regular curriculum updates reflecting emerging industry trends.

Speaking on the partnership Mr Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GHIAL said, “The aviation industry is in need of a huge talent pool of skilled professionals. This partnership will empower our youth to meet the industry demand equipping them with necessary skills for the aviation sector. This initiative will foster skill development and address talent gaps leading to employment opportunities for the youth in the state.”
