The new Airbus A321ceo joining Wizz Air’s Sofia fleet represents a further investment of over USD 100 million in Bulgaria, providing a boost to the local economy by creating 50 direct jobs with the airline, and 200 indirect jobs***. The new aircraft in Sofia takes the total number of WIZZ aircraft based in Bulgaria to 11, with 7 based in Sofia, 3 in Varna and 1 at its summer base in Burgas. Today’s announcement reiterates Wizz Air’s long-term commitment to the Bulgarian market, and to creating more new and exciting travel opportunities for its passengers.

Wizz Air’s new routes from Sofia are the perfect choice for a cultural weekend getaway. Whether it’s exploring the beautiful port town of Hamburg, with its many waterways and canals, or discovering the fascinating museums and historical buildings in Stockholm, in a beautiful waterfront setting, there is something for every type of traveller.
