Salvador Bahia airport, part of VINCI Airports network since 2017, has launched a new three times weekly direct service to Paris (France) with Air France. The capital of Bahia is the airline’s fifth destination in Brazil. With three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the new route is operated by the modern Airbus A350, which can accommodate 324 passengers.
In Brazil where VINCI Airports operates 8 airports in Amazonia and Salvador, traffic for 2024 third quarter has raised by +4.1% compared to previous year.
With this new route, Salvador Bahia airport hopes to pursue this dynamic. It now offers 32 destinations : 25 domestic and 7 international flights. This new destination to Paris is announced a few months after the new route to Santiago airport in Chile, also a member of the VINCI Airports network.
“This is a very symbolic moment for us at VINCI Airports, as we are connecting Bahia to one of the largest sources of tourists to our state, France. This is yet another step consolidating our role as a strategic partner in promoting Bahia as a destination. It was only possible thanks to the efforts of our team and partners at Air France, the Bahia government, and Embratur,” said Julio Ribas, CEO of VINCI Airports in Brazil.
