New Partnership at Bradley International Airport Makes Enrolling in TSA Precheck More Convenient

The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA), in partnership with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and secure identity company CLEAR, is now offering a new and convenient way for travelers to enroll in TSA PreCheck®.

CLEAR pods at Bradley International Airport (BDL) will now serve as authorized enrollment and renewal locations for TSA PreCheck. Travelers can start the TSA PreCheck application process online and then complete the enrollment and verification process with a CLEAR ambassador at BDL inside the terminal near the main TSA security checkpoint. No appointment is needed and TSA PreCheck enrollment through CLEAR is available at BDL daily from 4:00am to 7:30pm.

TSA PreCheck identifies travelers deemed low risk by the TSA. Once approved in the TSA PreCheck program, travelers pass through a designated and expedited security screening process and do not have to remove their shoes, laptops, approved liquids, belts or jackets. Additionally, CLEAR allows for a faster verification experience by using biometric technology to confirm a traveler’s identity. A CLEAR ambassador will then escort the traveler to the front of the security line.

Travelers at BDL can use the CLEAR pods to enroll in TSA PreCheck only or they can bundle TSA PreCheck and CLEAR Plus for a more expedited screening process.

BDL has its own dedicated screening area for authorized TSA PreCheck passengers that’s located at the A2 TSA security checkpoint.
