New visual identity reflects airport’s evolving passenger experience and ongoing investment in OAK

Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK) has unveiled a refreshed logo as part of the airport’s ongoing evolution and investment in the passenger experience.

The new logo modernises the airport’s familiar “I Fly OAK” tagline while retaining elements of the identity that travellers have associated with Oakland’s airport. The refreshed branding aligns with the airport’s current name and reflects its focus on convenience, accessibility, value and connection to the diverse communities of the Bay Area.

Craig Simon, Port of Oakland Director of Aviation, said the refreshed identity reflects the airport’s current position and its plans for future development.

The logo refresh represents who we are today and where we’re headed tomorrow. As Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport continues to grow and invest in our facilities, we’re proud to introduce a new logo that reflects our commitment to providing a high-value, low-stress travel experience while celebrating the culture, diversity, and innovation that make the Bay Area such a remarkable destination.

The rebrand comes as OAK continues to invest in improvements to the passenger experience. Recent projects include extensive restroom renovations and new locally focused dining and retail options, including Trader Vic’s, which is scheduled to open shortly.

Looking ahead, the airport’s proposed Terminal Modernization and Development Project is intended to further improve passenger facilities and support the airport’s long-term growth.

The refreshed logo is being introduced initially across OAK’s digital platforms and screens throughout the terminals, with the rollout to physical locations across the airport scheduled to take place over the coming months.

The branding launch coincided with OAK’s National Aviation Day activities on 19 August, which included aviation-themed activities for travellers and visitors.
