SACBO Inaugurates BGY EXECUTIVE at Milan Bergamo Airport

NEW HOME FOR GENERAL AVIATION FLIGHTS WITH TWO LOUNGES OPERATED BY SPECIALIZED PROVIDERS

Milan Bergamo Airport has officially launched its general aviation service facility under the brand name BGY EXECUTIVE, located in the northern area of the airport grounds near Customs Gate 2. Private flights are now handled at this facility, which is completely separate from the main terminal in terms of both access routes and airport services and procedures. On the ground floor of BGY EXECUTIVE, all operations related to the arrival and departure of passengers, pilots, and crew members are carried out, supported by the necessary equipment and in cooperation with the relevant authorities.

The space dedicated to welcoming passengers and crews of private flights is located on the first floor and consists of two lounges, each managed by a specialized Fixed Base Operator (FBO): Italy FBO (Delta Aerotaxi) and Skyservices. Both companies are already active in various Italian airports and bring long-standing experience in the management of private aviation. The decision to implement dedicated services for this air transport market segment, through the creation of an ad-hoc facility, stems from the awareness of the market potential surrounding Milan Bergamo Airport. This includes the strong and dynamic industrial and economic fabric of eastern Lombardy, as well as a significant demand for private flights driven by events, fashion, business, or high-end culinary experiences that are easily accessible from Milan Bergamo Airport.

The BGY EXECUTIVE facility was presented to industry stakeholders such as brokers, private airlines, aircraft management companies, flight dispatchers, and other specialized operators.

It enables the completion of all necessary airport procedures on- site, thanks to the collaboration with State Authorities (ENAC, Border Police, Guardia di Finanza, Customs and Monopolies Agency), both for arrivals and departures. General aviation traffic—often on intercontinental routes—is steadily growing, and the concentration of industrial activity, combined with the proximity of major tourist attractions, makes our airport an optimal logistical solution.”
