Self Bag Drop at Milan Linate Airport Active for SAS – Scandinavian Airlines Passengers

Company Milan Linate Airport
Date 07.08.2023

The Self Bag Drop service is active at Milan Linate airport, the system that allows you to register, tag and send hold luggage autonomously and without the assistance of the ground staff.

In this first phase, the service will be dedicated to SAS – Scandinavian Airlines passengers. This technology represents a further element that SEA has implemented to offer to Milano Linate passengers an increasingly seamless passenger experience.

How it works?

STEP 1 self tagging

  1. Select the airline you are traveling with
  2. Scan your boarding pass
  3. Accept the dangerous goods and security policies
  4. Place the baggage on the scale
  5. Wait for the bag tag to be printed, attach it to the bag as shown on the screen of the kiosk. It is recommended to take and keep the claim tag attached to one end of the bag tag.
  6. If more than one piece of baggage is to be checked in, please repeat the process starting from the forth step.
  • Proceed to the drop off (second step) at the dedicated desks nearby.

If there is any problem please contact the airline’s ground staff.

STEP 2 drop off

  1. Select the airline you are traveling with
  2. Scan your boarding pass
  3. Place the baggage on the belt: the bag tag must be read by the scanner arch therefore position the bag with the side where the tag is placed facing up. Be careful to place the luggage entirely on the belt, avoiding that it lays on the external metal structure.
  4. Accept the dangerous goods and security policies
  5. Confirm that the bag is ready to be sent
  6. Repeat the same action from the 3rd step if you have to check-in more than one baggage.

If assistance is required, please contact the airline’s ground staff.
