SOF Connect, the operator of Sofia Airport, has published its first annual sustainability report, which provides a comprehensive assessment of the company’s efforts and responsibility towards society and the environment.
It outlines the organisation’s transformation strategy, as well as the goals it has set to improve the passenger experience, increase efficiency, create tangible economic and social contribution and ensure environmental sustainability. The report covers the period 1 January to 31 December 2022 and has been prepared in line with the Global Reporting Initiative – GRI standards.
“The Sustainability Report gives a full picture of our understanding of what success and transformation looks like at Sofia Airport. From the outset, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to transform the airport into a 5-star regional hub over the next five years. This practically means an excellent passenger experience and includes everything: efficient travel to and from the airport, modern facilities, streamlined operations, friendly staff and many other aspects. The report underlines our commitment to sustainability and our drive for long-term growth,” said Jesús Caballero, CEO of Sofia Airport.
Capital Airport will continue to promote innovation, process digitalisation and global best practices in aviation to achieve a greener and more sustainable future.
