Thank you to FIFA for welcoming Vancouver, British Columbia back as a candidate host city for the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

Vancouver is a world-class city and YVR strongly supports the united North America bid for FIFA World Cup 2026™. This is an exciting opportunity to welcome the world back to British Columbia in support of BC’s strong economic recovery and an important boost for our tourism industry.

YVR is no stranger to big crowds and successful major sporting events. In 2010, YVR’s best-in-class people and operations shone as we welcomed guests from around the world for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. If Vancouver is selected as one of the final host cities for FIFA World Cup 2026™ our people are ready to provide the modern and memorable experience FIFA athletes, fans and dignitaries expect from a world-class city.”
