As you may already know, there have been some 500 terrorist attacks worldwide so far in 2017 with more than 3500 plus fatalities. Terrorists can attack anything, anywhere, anytime. Preventing all pure terrorism is impossible, but seeking ways to divert vulnerable people from terror is our goal. Our readiness to mitigate risk is now, standing still is not an option.

Threats of Terrorism Have Morphed. The decade after the 9/11 attacks reshaped many facets of the life in America and around the Globe. We have managed to deter high-profile attacks like 9/11, and somehow, we got the illusion that the problem was contained and manageable. The recent terrorist attacks have changed the landscape from airport terminals, to massive transport terminals, down to attainable public areas, concert halls, tourist attractions, theme parks, schools, sports venue, other targeted infrastructures.

The nature of the threats has changed from terrorist plots, sabotages, hostage incidents, public assaults, kidnappings, etc. And, our daily headlines make it clear that we confront a new array of threats that is redefining our national security. High alert has become the norm. Irrespective of your venue, infrastructure, security strategy or position in the market, the need to focus on improving the public experience, while mitigating risk, strengthening security, maximizing optimization, and operate efficiently is a conscious requirement for the safety of your patrons, guests, members, customers, and your organization and institution whether it’s a public or private sector. Today’s terrorists take the lives of casualties in quantity and indiscriminately – there is no bystanders.

Preparedness requires improving intelligence, increasing security, identifying your soft targets and vulnerabilities and developing effective response capabilities. This Counter Terrorism Symposium and Training is designed to quickly help you identify and outline a security strategy, with quick wins, understanding your business needs and tolerance and with the goal of maximizing efficiency and public safety.

    23-24 January 2018

    2-Day Session from 9:00am-5:00pm

The Symposium will bring together a collective group of subject matter experts and speakers on various aspects of terrorism, this includes efforts to understand terrorism today, tomorrow, and the future. In the context of this exclusive event, one of the key aims is to examine current trends and to help inform a positive and practical debate about the future of terrorism and the required strategic planning and responses.

Given the resources committed to counter-terrorism, it is particularly important to analyze and aggregate the available information provided in this symposium to better understand its various properties. When analyzing the correlation of terrorism there are different factors that are statistically significant depending on the level of development. Come join us, learn and lead the efforts of counter terrorism.

Moreover, terrorist groups are urging recruits to adopt easy-to-use tools to target public places and events. Specific attack tactics have included the use of vehicle ramming, small arms, straight-edged blades or knives, and homemade explosives, as well as other acts such as taking hostages, and more.
