Aircraft Value Management International Forum 2023

According to the forecast of COMAC, by 2040, China’s passenger aircraft fleet will reach 9,957, accounting for 22% of the global proportion, becoming the world’s largest single aviation market. In the next 20 years, China will receive 9,084 civil airliners with a total market value of over 9 trillion yuan. Since 2023, the total number of aircraft introduced by Chinese airlines has increased significantly, and the size of aircraft, the proportion of passenger and cargo aircraft, and the purchase of different models have increased by leap. At the same time, as domestic large aircraft have been put into operation and gradually participate in the competition in the international market, how to design, manufacture, operation, modification, including disassembly and recycling of aircraft. It is a new challenge for the civil aviation industry to maximize the utilization and value of the entire industry chain in the whole life cycle.

The designed service life of an aircraft is 30 years, and the real service period is about 10 years. From birth to recycling, the “value” of an aircraft is reflected in every stage of its life. Aircraft value management is a field of multi-professional cross-border cooperation. It is of great significance to carry out high-level aircraft value assessment work and services for the market and promote the aviation industry to build a strong chain.
