dolphin-pr-1Canberra International Airport is a gateway to Australia’s capital city, with over 2,858,000 passengers travelling through the facility each year.

Following the launch of a new terminal in March 2013, the airport is on track to becoming one of the country’s “greenest” airports.

The new terminal covers more than 55,000m2 and has been constructed using high quality and long life building materials, absorption chillers that capture and use excess heat, and a 650,000 litre water tank that collects rain and ground water for reuse.

Ensuring the washrooms measured up to the same high sustainability goals was a task Dolphin was more than able to assist with. Architectural Practice Guida Moseley Brown used the ALAVO system together with a washplane and DB425C infrared taps.

The ALAVO system combines smooth clean lines with infrared taps and soap dispensers, high speed hand dryers and paper towel dispensers, all fitted in a stylish modular mirror cabinet, effortlessly meeting the design requirements of any high use commercial washroom environment.
