On May 26 – 28, ERA (a member of OMNIPOL Group) will exhibit at Airspace World 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal – the most important trade fair introducing the newest innovations ensuring the safety of global Air Traffic Management to ATM community. This year ERA, as the market leader in supplying multilateration technology, will showcase its brands new solution – Transmitting Module TM01 as an integral part of its proven MSS-5 multilateration system for the first time.
The TM01 transmitter serves as a transmitter in the combined station of the MSS-5 (the fifth generation of Multi-sensor Surveillance System by ERA) combining multilateration (MLAT) and ADS-B technologies. It is designed to transmit interrogations in modes A, C, 1, 2 and S (short) and control replies in mode S for evaluating the integrity of MLAT system and for time synchronization of distributed-time MLAT systems.
Another new and useful feature of ERA ATM system, which ERA team will display in Lisbon, is the possibility to use it in form of the standalone ADS-B station, which represents the latest product derivate of MSS-5. Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) technology is the fastest developing element of contemporary ATM globally and ERA solution of single ADS-B station is light weight, easy to install and user-friendly system for any ATC/ATM centre. It is a ready-to-use solution, allowing the customer to deploy it independently in a simple “plug and play” manner with only low maintenance required.
ERA also made a huge step forward in integrating the world class cyber security measures into its ATM systems. Recently ERA has successfully completed a complex Wide Area Multilateration system (WAM) project for Oro navigacija, the Lithuania’s ANSP, overcoming key challenges related to cybersecurity, safety, and quality. Cybersecurity was ensured through a secure system architecture, controlled access, and continuous monitoring, providing full protection of data and system throughout its lifecycle. ERA has thus set the top-level bar to follow this pilot project example.
