Candace McGraw promotes people power at Passenger Terminal CONFERENCE

Press Release Date 27.01.2016

Candace McGraw, Chief Executive Officer at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, presented a fascinating paper at last year’s conference on the need for more reliable forecasts when undertaking airport strategic planning.

Passenger Terminal CONFERENCE is pleased to confirm that Candace will return again in 2016 to emphasise the importance of staff training, in a presentation titled ‘Successful human resources programmes: recruitment, retention, training and succession planning’, as part of the Customer Service & Passenger Experience session on Wednesday 16 March.

“We know that our passengers can only experience a safe, efficient, customer-friendly environment if the right human factors are in place,” she says. “The underpinning of all successful airports is their human capital. As such, my presentation, and the two that will follow as part of a dedicated panel discussion, will focus on successful human resources programmes: recruitment, retention, training and succession planning. Attendees will learn how to effectively identify and screen high-potential employees; how to engage and retain employees in an airport environment; and how to identify future skill sets needed for success, as well as ensuring continuity of operations through succession planning.”

As part of the same Customer Service & Passenger Experience session, Candace will be joined by fellow executives from a wide range of airports, including those responsible for customer service at Changi, Narita, Delhi, Vancouver, Munich, Venice and Frankfurt.
