The Metropolitan Police Aviation Policing Command’s “Airport Counter Terrorism Conference” is returning to the British-Irish Airports EXPO.

In Birmingham in 2017 this exceptional, free-to-attend conference included a raft of senior speakers from the UK intelligence community discussing measures to secure airports against the “Insider Threat.” The conference is a Met-led initiative to bring together all security-invested stakeholders working on the airport campus ranging from the airports themselves to airlines, handlers, forwarders, retailers, MRO etc.

First-hand incident case studies are a hallmark of the event – the Glasgow Airport Hostile Vehicle Attack and the Marauding Firearms Attack at Istanbul Atatürk Airport featured at the first conference.
