Andrew Matters, Head of Industry Analysis, International Air Transport Association (IATA), will share insights on the opportunities and challenges for airlines in Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Wings of the Future Forum, November 14-15 in Moscow, Russia.
According to Mr. Matters, air transport demand in Europe is forecast to grow at a modest overall rate over the next 20 years. But are all markets within Europe created equal? Drawing upon IATA’s latest long-term passenger forecasts, Andrew will focus his presentation on the outlook for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, highlighting the extent of the opportunities, the key factors necessary for success and some of the challenges for air transport in these important markets.
Andrew Matters is the Head of Industry Analysis at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Geneva.
His team provides strategic insights, forecasts and advice relating to the global economic landscape and the key issues and developments facing the air transport industry. The team’s insights inform decision-makers within IATA, its member airlines and other industry stakeholders, including governments and regulatory authorities.
In a varied career, Andrew has previously held senior executive roles in the strategy and finance teams at Qantas Airways and Leighton Holdings, and was a trusted adviser to both the Prime Minister and Treasurer of Australia.
This year, the 16th Wings of the Future Forum will be held on November 14-15, 2018 at Renaissance Monarch Center Hotel in Moscow, Russia.
