Speaker: Mr. Christiaan Hen, Manager of Innovation, Royal Schiphol Group ( The Best Digital Airport )

Bio: Christiaan is Manager Innovation at Schiphol NeXt within the Royal Schiphol Group in Amsterdam. With his team he is responsible for digital innovation and new business. Innovation is all about managing uncertainty as quickly and cheaply as possible. Besides his role as manager of the NeXt team Christiaan is also part of the digital leadership team that manages the overall digital transformation within Schiphol. Furthermore, he is engaged as a start-up coach and part of the Mainport Innovatoin Fund’s, fund committee.

In his talk Christiaan will address best practices of the organization of innovation within airports as well as digital transformation in general. He will talk theory but mix it with real life cases and results. He’ll share what works but maybe even more important, what doesn’t work.

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Wilfried Covent, Senior Security Expert Compliance & Operations Continuity, Brussels Airport Company / ACI Europe’s Chairman of the Security Committee
Bio: At the beginning of his career Wilfried Covent was Police Commissioner with the local police in Belgium. But in 1994 he became involved in the aviation security industry. He first joined the (previous) Belgian Airline SABENA – being the airline security manager. A few years later he switched to the air cargo / express industry, to become the aviation security manager for DHL Express Europe.

In February 2010 Wilfried started to work in the airport environment being the Head of Security at Brussels Airport. Recently he moved to a senior security expert function within Brussels Airport.

In this function he has been appointed as Chairman of the ACI-Europe Security Committee. (Airports Council International – representing +/- 500 airports in Europe).

Wilfried has a very rich career that has spanned almost all the key organisation in the aviation security industry including the Police, airlines, cargo and currently, Brussels Airport as the Airport’s Senior Security Expert. The Europe aviation security benefits from this wealth of experience with Wilfried currently ACI Europe’s Chairman of the Security Committee. Wilfried was the Airport’s Security Manager when the Brussels Airport was attacked on 22 March this year. An incredibly sad and harrowing experience, it’s a privilege to be sharing the stage with Wilfried and to learn from his insight.

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Holger Kraft, Corporate Security, Vice President Policy & Concepts, Munich Airport

Bio: Holger Kraft is the Vice President Policy & Concepts within the Corporate Security at Munich Airport. Before this he holds the position as Vice-President Divisional Controlling and Development also within the Corporate Security.

Holger Kraft has a long standing experience in aviation security. Before his engagement at Munich Airport, he was the Director Infrastructure, Operations & Security with the German Airports Association ADV. He has represented airport interests in several committees on national and international level. Holger Kraft has a diploma in civil engineering and started his working career in the Ministry of Works, Transport & Communication in Windhoek, Namibia.

She is in charge of managing and developing the portfolio of Fraport’s airport investments globally. She chairs various supervisory boards of Fraport affiliates including Antalya, St. Petersburg, Xi’an and Lima airport. Aletta von Massenbach was General Manager of Antalya Airport and Chief Executive Officer of Twin Star Airport, Bulgaria. During recent years, Aletta was successfully heading a number of important transactions for Fraport.

Bio: In July 2014, Vaclav Rehor was elected the head of a distinguished national group of companies operating in air transport and related ground services, to be a part of strategic orientation change of Prague Airport. Now, he is involved in the actual ways of operating of the airport as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Prague Airport. Throughout his 26-year-long career, he has worked in various positions in the Czech Republic, UK and Canada. He was also responsible for operations in China and India. In the past, he worked for companies owned by private equity funds, such as Advent International and Bain Capital Private Equity. In 2006, he joined CCS, a member of the Fleetcor Technologies Group, and from 2011 to 2013 he worked as Fleetcor Europe’s CFO.

Vaclav Rehor is a graduate of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, where he also obtained his PhD in Economics and Company Management. He gained his MBA degree in the study programme of PIBS accredited by the Manchester Metropolitan University in UK

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Anders Nielsen, CIO, Project & Development, Billund Airport

Bio: As Vice president for Project & Development Anders Nielsen has been responsible for the physical development of Billund Airport the last 18 years. Billund Airport is situated in the western part of Denmark, has 2,9 million passengers per year and with more than 95% of its traffic to European destinations it is a truly international airport. Anders Nielsen is educated as an architect from the school of Architecture in 1977, has practised since then and has been employed in Billund Airport since 1998. He has been responsible for many projects including Billund Airports 125 million EUR expansion in 2002. The responsibility today also stretches out to business development, strategy planning, sustainable development and IT solutions. Recent projects encompasses self-service for passengers on web check-in, truly common self-sevice kiosks and recently common self-service bagdrop including bag-tag printing.

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Giulio De Metrio, Chief Operating Officer, SEA Milano Malpensa

Bio: Giulio De Metrio started his professional career in Alitalia Group from 1985 to 2004 with various positions: Managing Director of the Air Transport Division, CEO of Alitalia Team and Alitalia Airport, President of Alitalia Express.

From 2004 to 2005 he became Volare Group Managing Director in extraordinary management after the bankruptcy (Law “Marzano”) until the sale.

He joined SEA in May 2007, as Chief Operating Officer. He heads several key departments such as Infrastructures, Cargo and Operations, Aviation and Non Aviation Business, Sales and Marketing, Customer Care and Safety. He reports directly to the Chairman of the Board, participates in all meetings of the Board of Directors and is also a member of the Executive Committee.

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Brian Cobb, Chief Innovation Officer, Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)

Bio: Brian is a native Cincinnatian and a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, having received his B.S. in Aeronautical Science and holding commercial pilot and flight instructor licenses and associated aircraft ratings. He received Airport Council International’s “International Airport Professional (IAP)” designation in 2013.

Brian joined CVG in July 2010 where his role is to provide competitive and experience advantages over surrounding airports while driving significant engagement and sustainability for the vast airport economic engine within the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky region. Among his key focal points are start-up innovations and integration into the airport ecosystem.

Keynote Speaker from ACI-APAC: Mr. Futoshi Osada, Senior Executive Vice President and a board member of ACI-apac, NAA / Narita International Airport Corporation
Bio: Mr. Futoshi Osada was appointed to the Senior Executive Vice President of Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA) in June 2017. In his previous role as the Executive Vice President, he was in charge of corporate and international strategies, IT development and corporate affiliate activities. He is originally from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and has worked for many years for the Civil Aviation Bureau (CAB). While at the CAB, he worked towards the commissioning of the second runway at Narita Airport in 2002 as the divisional head in charge. Subsequently, he went on to assume responsibility of air traffic control and of overseeing airline companies, before being appointed as Director-General of the Civil Aviation Bureau, the highest post in aviation administration. He retired from MLIT in 2014 and has been at Narita International Airport Corporation since June 2015.
