VECTIOSTM for Airports, by CIAT is the new generation of rooftop air conditioning packaged units, designed to supply the highest Quality Indoor air with Full Energy Efficiency as well as to reduce the total cost of ownership during its lifetime operating at the common adopted slopes on Passenger bridges during the boarding process in any airport location, from extreme warm to cold ambient weather optimizing the passenger’s boarding experience.

PASSENGER’S COMFORT
Connected to the PBB air ducts, VECTIOSTM provides a smooth air diffusion thanks to its PlugFAN EC, which adapts itself to the air ducts network providing superior COMFORT:

  • Absence of disturbing high-speed air streams close to passengers.
  • Self-adaptation to the air ducts network (duct pressure).
  • Different airflow mode selection through User’s interface: Cooling, Heating or Ventilation.

INDOOR AIR QUALITY
Air Quality is crucial in passenger’s health and comfort. VECTIOSTM features the widest range of air filtration combinations from:

  • One stage gravimetric filters G4 (low pressures or standard type).
  • Two stages: gravimetric G4 + low press. opacimetric M6, F7 or F9.
  • Two opacimetric M6+F7, M6+F9, F7+F9 or F9+F9.

LONG LIFETIME
Ask for our High Corrosion Resistance option including:

  • Air coils protection based on COATING fins such polyurethane or
  • SPECIFIC MATERIAL BUILT-IN protection such as Copper pipes and fins or INERATM fins, specific designed alloy widely used on the marine industry which after standardized tests (more than 1.000 hours under ASTM B117 / ISO 9227), shows outstanding performances against corrosion at marine environments.
  • Removable Stainless-Steel Condensates Drain Pan.
  • Metallic or Plastic crafted Fans depending on the airport location.
  • Long lasting specific painting and casing treatment.

SUSTAINABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY SOLUTION
OPTIMUM OPERATION IN ALL CONDITIONS
ErP 2009/125/CE directive requests rooftop units to be Ecodesign compliant in order to minimize their environmental impact.

Thanks to its Tandem compressors configuration, EC Outdoor fan and Electronic expansion valves, VECTIOSTM fulfils the seasonal performance energy efficiency requirements (SEER> 3,53 and SCOP > 3,20) and is ErP 2021 compliant getting +37% savings comparing to TIER1.

CIAT participates on the ECP Eurovent program. 

EXTENDED OPERATION TEMPERATURES MAP & OPTIMUM OPERATION
More applications in a wider temperature range to provide Indoor Air Quality in Cooling or Reversible heat pump from 20 kW to 45 kW operating conditions: -15 ºC and up to 48 ºC outdoor air. Cooling-only version up to +52 ºC outdoor air.

  • Cooling / Heating capacity from 20 to 45 kW.
  • 12 models of Rooftop units available in Cooling only and reversible Heat Pump version

Two possible configurations:

  • Single bottom air return + single bottom air outlet.
  • Single bottom air return + Double bottom air outlet
  • Optimized indoor air quality: G4, M6, M7, M8, M9 in different stages.
  • Anti-corrosion option pack.
