Description
History. The EWSTP is the preferred /approved test piece for Single and Dual View Scanners by the DfT. The X-Ray is in one direction either horizontal or perpendicular or both.
New CT Scanners. On these scanners, the X-Ray surrounds the scanned item through 360 degrees. Therefore a test piece has to test through 360 degrees. The EWSTP is not suitable for this process
Elder Engineering has been working with the DfT to produce a test piece for CT Scanners and have made several prototypes.
The DfT understand that users of CT Scanners do need a test piece and have agreed that our latest test piece is approved for use until the definitive design is agreed.
