The “e” in e-CLS is for ‘electric’ as the new CLS is powered by electricity instead of compressed air. There has been great demand from our customers for an electrical solution, as many do not have access to compressed air. In response to them, we designed and built our new e-CLS: the perfect electrical lifting aid for all types of baggage.
Ergonomic and quick
The e-CLS is the optimal choice for lifting baggage into containers or carts in airports. It has handles on several sides for maximum control and ergonomic movement in all directions. The handles have well-placed maneuvering buttons, making it suitable for both left and right handed handlers. Just like the original CLS, the e-CLS reduces the risk of spinal disc compressions that may ultimately cause back injuries. The e-CLS loads a minimum of 10 bags per minute. It is as fast as it is user-friendly.
Easy to maneuver
The machine is equipped with breaks that can lock the table horizontally in both x and y-axis directions and vertically. Red light diodes are lit when the table is locked. When the operator grips the handle the diodes turn green and the table is automatically unlocked. The e-CLS is ready for use! Baggage is loaded onto the table, which the operator can move vertically or horizontally, and unloading takes place without any heavy lifting. The traverse system makes the e-CLS mobile and easy to work with. The bag can move friction free because of the metal ball rollers on the table.
The machine is equipped with four control buttons for vertical movement, one button on each side of the handle. These buttons also control the built-in lamps that light up the container, making it easier to see where to place the bag.
The jog buttons on the pillar make it possible to raise and lower the table past its working position, when the maneuvering handles are too high to be reached. By the push of a button, the table is raised up to “park” level, out of the way of the baggage handler. The next time it’s needed it can easily be lowered by the “down” jog button.
Red emergency stop buttons are placed on both the pillar and the table. When the emergency stop is activated the power supply is cut and the machine stops.
The machine senses if it is exposed to unusually heavy loads and stops. This reduces the risk of pinch injuries.
