Multifunctional keyboard

The EK Light keyboard provides an intuitive user interface to control multiple workstations with a single keyboard and mouse. It is highly flexible and can be extended and adapted to meet specific requirements.  Individual customization options increase working efficiency and also enable usability in switched KVM environments.

Description

The EK Light is a flexible keyboard for cost-sensitive environments. It provides access to up to 4 workstations with a single keyboard and mouse. The EK Light is modular in design and can be adapted to individual user, hardware and software requirements. All platforms are supported and customer-specific accessories can be integrated to optimize business processes.

In combination with the WEYTEC switchingPLATFORM, desks can be shared among multiple users for more flexibility, efficiency and control.

The EK Light keyboard is available for different countries and languages.

Functionality and ergonomics

The EK Light offers virtually unlimited functionality and an intuitive user interface. Selecting the active computer is very simple. A single keystroke suffices and the desired source appears on the screen and placed under the user’s control.

Due to the modular architecture and programmable function keys and keypads, the keyboard can be readily customized to meet individual software and hardware requirements. A variety of interfaces (UBS, PS/2, serial, etc.) as well as multiple platforms for trading floors and control rooms (EBS, Reuters Eikon, Bloomberg, diverse control systems) are suppported. Up to four audio signals can be routed to either integrated or external speakers, or a headphone set connected to the keyboard.

Multi-user access to sources

Link two keyboards together with a serial cable to share and control multiple workstations between two users.

WEYTEC switchingPLATFORM (WSP)
In combination with the WSP, the EK Light can be used to choose, control and display up to 32 sources on up to 4 monitors. Video walls can also be controlled via presets.

Individual Keypads

Multiple industry and customer specific keypads are available to interact with market information services and control systems.

Interfaces

The keyboard supports a variety of interfaces. A mouse port and a 3.5mm port for a headset or an active speaker are directly available on the keyboard. Additionally, the following interfaces can be used with a multifunctional cable: 4x USB, 4x audio 3.5mm, 2x PS/2 mouse / keyboard, 2x DSub 9, 1x power.
