In order not to interfere with the operation of ILS/Localizer antennas and other NAV/COM equipment, standard steel jet blast deflectors cannot be installed everywhere. For those areas that need to be protected from jet blast where radio and broadcast equipment is installed, we offer a jet blast deflector solution made of fiberglass reinforced plastics.
In addition to the fact that fiberglass reinforced plastic does not affect radio waves, it has a certain frangibility which is a desired and often required feature, especially in areas where aircraft are in close proximity to the jet blast deflector.
