Phone chargers – phone charging vending machine

Description

Lifesaver sells and rents portable power banks as a service from machines. Lifesaver are trying to change the way people use power when they are on the move, and raise awareness of the availability of renewable energy.

Having developed a unique machine that recognises the power banks it dispenses, users are able to buy/rent a power bank and swap it for a full one or return it for their deposit.

Lifesaver works with leading events/venues such as The o2, The Open, The Ryder Cup, Winter Wonderland, Wembley Stadium and others such as hospitals and train stations.

The machines hold 200 fully charged power banks in the top, which have been cleaned and pre-charged with renewable power.  Users can pay on card (including AMEX) to get a power bank. Users pay £30 and when they return it they get £20 refunded. The Machines will never run low, with automated refill alerts available 24/7.

Lifesaver are focused on delivering power for good and have 3 pillars: Fairer, Cleaner and Circular.

  • Fairer: they pay above the fair living wage and helped support the launch of the fair cobalt alliance.
  • Cleaner: all of the power banks are made of recycled plastic and are charged with renewable energy.
  • Circular: Lifesaver encourages users to return their power banks so they can be recharged, reused and recycled.

They have also partnered with techcrunch to get aid to Ukraine as well as being fully circular and zero waste due to their recycling plant that turns any broken power banks into recycled cobalt.

Lifesaver are looking to expand across airports in the UK to provide a service 24/7 to passengers who need to stay connected and powered.
