The substitution of a door system at Geneva Airport without even the slightest interference with the hangar and airport operation was a challenge especially in regards of a smoothly functioning project management.

A time window of 5 hrs at night for transportation of the 12 fully assembled door leaves, each 15 x 20 m in size – 800 m distance between assembly and installation site – secure closing of the hangars at any time.

The Butzbach project team was trusted to meet these rigorous conditions and handed over the new hangar door system in time.
