A successful inter airport Europe for dBD Communications

dBD Communications had the pleasure of exhibiting at inter airport Europe in Munich last month, during 8^th – 11^th October.

Showcasing the portfolio of wireless communications for Airside Operations, we delivered successful presentations of our latest innovative product TIGAR and bespoke single man push, which resulted in multi-national requirements across Europe, Middle and Far East.

The TIGAR product stands for “Turnaround Integrated Gate and Ramp” as it is our multiple user communication system, enhancing team awareness during turnaround in order to reduce the time of operations, therefore resulting in KPI improvements across the industry. This system can reach a wireless range of 500m distance line of sight.

With a variety of solutions for pushback operations known as our Minerva systems, we can provide single man or multiple user communication solutions. These systems come with an interface box to allow a wireless connection to the Flight Deck. The Minerva Air system consists of a wireless headset with a momentary boom microphone; the Minerva Ajax system provides an alternative microphone solution via the use of a microphone shield, used in higher noise environments and our latest Minerva innovations are compatible with electric tug operations to allow hands free.

We were approached by Airside International to take part in a Podcast discussing our experience within the industry. Our Managing Director, David O’Connell discusses his background education and how the business has developed since first incorporating in May 2002 and how we have continued to innovate across multiple market sectors.
