REEL is proud to announce the delivery to the Airbus new facility of the first equipments dedicated to the final assembly of the future aircraft A350 XWB. This delivery was made on-time and is a key milestone in the development of the Programme schedule.
The Final Assembly Line of the Airbus’s last family member is located in Toulouse and the first jigs & tools commissioning is due to be completed by the end of 2011. The first A350 XWB flight is scheduled in 2012.
REEL has been awarded a contract for the development, manufacturing, installation and integration of the complete aircraft assembly stations including the Fuselage assembly stations, Wing to Fuselage assembly stations, Finishing and Testing Stations and the Engine mounting stations.
AIRBUS has once again entrusted the unprecedented and recognised know-how of REEL in terms of large project management and technical innovation for aircraft manufacturing equipments gathered during the last to achieve this new challenge.
