TIMCO Aviation Services (“TIMCO”) announced today that US Airways has selected its Macon operations for airframe base maintenance on its B767 fleet of aircraft beginning late in 2010. The work will mark the first B767 fleet maintenance to be performed at Macon since the recently launched expansion of TIMCO’s fleet capabilities at the facility, located at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport in Macon, Georgia.

Macon has been a provider of narrowbody maintenance with services performed on aircraft such as the B737, A320 and B757, including for long-time TIMCO customer US Airways. Earlier this month, TIMCO began the process of expanding the facilities’ capabilities to cover the B767 aircraft type through an investment in tooling and equipment, structural enhancements and new staffing and training.

Keith Statzer, General Manager for TIMCO’s Macon operations, said, “We are eager to extend our very important relationship with US Airways. Our team views this as an opportunity and a challenge to deliver for their B767 fleet the superior maintenance results US Airways has come to expect from TIMCO over the past 10 years."

The TIMCO Aviation Services family of companies includes TIMCO, one of the largest independent aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) service providers, and its sister companies, all of which take great pride in supporting aircraft operators and owners world-wide with comprehensive, individually-tailored aircraft care services including airframe MRO, engineering services, interiors manufactured product design and installation, engine MRO and line care services at airports across the United States
