State’s Award of Excellence Recognizes a Track Record of Safe Operations

TIMCO Aviation Services (“TIMCO”) has announced that its base maintenance operation at Macon, Georgia has been selected by the State of Georgia Department of Labor for its annual “Award of Excellence.” Through the award, the employees at Macon are being recognized for more than 250 days with no “days away from work” due to workplace injuries or illnesses.

The Safety Engineering Division of the Georgia Department of Labor sponsors the annual awards program to promote safe, healthy work environments in the state. TIMCO is being recognized for its selection during this week’s 2011 Georgia Safety, Health and Environmental Conference in Savannah.

Bill Norman, President MRO Services said, “Our team at Macon is demonstrating the focus we place on safety in our sometimes complex work on large jet aircraft. Our customers have come to expect this of us and we are truly honored to have been recognized by the State of Georgia for something we hold so important to our success.”

TIMCO is one of the world’s largest independent aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) companies, providing operators with base maintenance, engine MRO, interiors engineering and manufacturing and line services at airports across the U.S. TIMCO is a proud member of Project Safe Georgia, which has a mission of promoting healthy and safe workplaces throughout the state.
