New Capacity Bolsters Existing Production of FeatherWeight™ Interiors Products

Greensboro, North Carolina—8 November 2011…TIMCO Aerosystems, a unit of TIMCO Aviation Services (“TIMCO”), formally opened its new 120,000 square foot aircraft interiors manufacturing facility yesterday in Wallburg (Davidson County), North Carolina, near its Greensboro headquarters. North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue and other local, regional and state officials were on hand to celebrate the event.

The facility adds new capacity to TIMCO’s existing seat manufacturing operations in Pacoima, California, including assembly of its popular FeatherWeight™ series of seats which save airlines fuel and maintenance cost through lighter weight and fewer parts.

Replacing a traditional ribbon cutting, Governor Perdue and TIMCO CEO Kevin Carter fastened together the ends of a seat belt to symbolize, as North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Keith Crisco noted to the crowd assembled, “the take off of successful operations in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina.”

Mr. Carter said, “This is a proud day for TIMCO and our TIMCO Aerosystems interior business. Facing increasing demand for our light weight products, this new facility ensures we will be able to continue to serve our existing customers while delivering to new customers from around the world.” He added, “This day would not have been possible without the extraordinary partnership we have with State, regional and local officials, who recognized early the economic value this new facility represents.”

TIMCO Aerosystems, a business unit of TIMCO Aviation Services, is one of a select few companies that can support its customers with a full spectrum of cabin solutions including state-of-the-art design engineering; interiors products including the FeatherWeight™ line
