Company AFI KLM E&M
Date 21.03.2012

Paris, Amstelveen, 21 March 2012 – AFI KLM E&M recently signed a component support contract covering UK carrier Monarch Airlines' fleet of A330s. This is the second renewal of this contract which commenced in 1998, and which provides pool access, repairs, and the lease of a UK stored stock of spares. AFI KLM E&M's adaptive approach to pricing, linked with a long period of exemplary service, helped to retain the contract, which had been put out to tender.

Mick Adams, Managing Director of Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd commented "I am very satisfied that we have successfully concluded this arrangement thus furthering the excellent relationships with AFI KLM E&M." Eric Bleuse, Sales Manager for AFI KLM E&M Northern Europe commented: "The trust in the relationship, underpinned by a competitively priced and committed service to Monarch over a long period has been a major factor in winning the continued business."

Encouraging new contract
In another recent development, AFI KLM E&M also signed a long-term contract to support the CFM56-5A power plants equipping some of Monarch Airlines' fleet of A320s. AFI KLM E&M was able to competitively differentiate itself from its competitors with an aggressive sales offer. More importantly, its lengthy repair track-record with the 5A engine also swung the deal in its favor. "We were the first carrier to repair this engine-type. We are therefore very credible for our customers,? added Rob Pruim, AFI KLM E&M VP Sales International. Ian Bartholomew, Sales and Marketing Director from Monarch said, "AFI KLM E&M's are committed to offering its customers outstanding service, which has impressed us immensely. We recently visited the new Constellation engine shop at Orly and we were very impressed with this facility which reconfirmed for us the contract with AFI KLM E&M."
