Company CTI Systems
Date 23.11.2010

CTI Systems S.A., Luxembourg recently received an order for the delivery of total four (4) units CTI- Move Micro 61 and one (1) unit CTI-Move Maxi 58 scissor type work and special equipped platforms. All these omnidirectional carriers will be applied for special tasks in the course of the A350 production. The Micro 61 will be used for attaching and detaching of A350 CRP fuselage shells for painting procedures in the Airbus facilities in Stade, Nordenham and Augsburg and the Maxi 58 at Aerolia, Méaulte/France quality checks and reworking of A350 CRP fuselage shells

This order sets a further footprint in the history of the CTI-Move. Since CTI has acquired the unique mobility technology from the former Swedish company MaxMove in 2007, the original carrier-design was reworked, redesigned and equipped with a state-of-the-art control system. As latest development by CTI all the multimobile carriers can be delivered also in ex-proof version for e.g. application during painting procedures or in hazardous environment.

Today CTI-Move is successfully in operation at well-known aerospace manufactures, e.g. Boeing, Vought, Spirit Aerosystems and with earlier deliveries to Airbus already. Besides the aerospace industry, CTI-Moves are also in operation at nameable airlines and MRO providers such as Asiana, Australian Airlines, Emirates, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, SAAB, Swedish Airforce etc.

Omni-/multi-directional carriers provide enormous advantages especially for operations in most cramped locations (even rotation around centre is possible). Due to a special designed tilted wheel unlimited manoeuvrability is granted.
