Goldhofer and Schopf made their mark with one-stop shopping for GSE

A convincing demonstration by the new partners: Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft (Memmingen) and Schopf Maschinenbau GmbH (Ostfildern) celebrated a special premiere at Inter Airport Europe 2013 in Munich with a joint debut at an aviation trade show as a premium manufacturer in the field of Ground Support Equipment (GSE). In line with the motto »Goldhofer + Schopf = Performance2«, the group presented a full and diverse offering as the market leader for one-stop shopping for GSE including a whole series of new and innovative products.

“Our stand was the big attraction at the trade fair and the response was truly excellent. We made a big splash with our new products such as the Schopf F396P 70-ton aircraft tractor, the Schopf F70 in the eleven-ton class. The same goes for the Goldhofer AST-1 X and AST-2R towbarless tractors,” says a delighted Franz Bilmayer, CEO at Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft and General Manager of Schopf Maschinenbau GmbH. With their latest developments and new products in the field of conventional and towbarless aircraft tractors, Goldhofer and Schopf were highly successful at Inter Airport in presenting themselves as the partner of choice for pushbacks, gate-to-gate and distance towing. “We showed that we have the right equipment for apron operations in all weight classes,” says Thomas Kramer, Sales Director Airport Technology at Goldhofer and Schopf.

The Schopf Loadstar cargo loader, the new Schopf ZDi cargo tractor and the Goldhofer ARTS aircraft recovery transport system rounded off the product range at the Munich trade show.

For Goldhofer and Schopf, Inter Airport 2013 was a resounding success. “The quality of the contacts was again excellent. We were particularly gratified by the many customers and suppliers who congratulated us on the merger. They were clearly impressed by the fact that we were able to mark our very first joint trade show presentation with a whole series of new products. We provided convincing proof that the Goldhofer and Schopf partnership has inspired our team to pull out all the stops,” says Franz Bilmayer. Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft took over the companies of the Schopf group at 1 January 2013.

The new group’s dominance in the Airport Technology sector is to be further strengthened; plans are already being drawn up for the construction of an Airport Technology production plant at the Schopf location in Ostfildern near Stuttgart. “We remain committed to our policy of expansion and are developing Ostfildern into a competence center for the Airport Technology Division,” the CEO explains.

They also have definitive plans for a stand at Inter Airport Europe 2015. “Inter Airport is the most important aviation trade show worldwide. The success of our presentation this year shows that it is the perfect platform for the leading provider in complete GSE solutions,” says Thomas Kramer.
