Airfield Lighting Installation & Maintenance (Operational or Greenfield)

Avionics have been engaged by Melbourne Airport to replace the remaining direct buried cable and SITs within the airfield, with new primary cable and Series Isolating Transformers within a new pit and conduit system.  

Project involves the construction of approx. 20km’s of pit and duct, 8 under taxiway bores, 110km’s of 5KV Primary Cable, sub-ducting of 7 taxiways, installation of 350 Pits.

Avionics are targeting a completion date of late December 2013.
