The recent specification of atg airports’ runway lighting services at London City Airport not only serves to demonstrate the company’s involvement with yet another significant UK airport, it further underlines atg's in-house installation capabilities and supremacy across all airports serving the country’s Capital including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton.
 
Completed by atg airports’ own in-house specialist Projects Team, the London City Airport contract comprised a complete rewire of runway and taxiway circuits and the replacement of transformers. A significant element of the project was the need to complete all works without airport closure or flight disruptions – a specialism of the  atg team.
 
“This contract clearly highlights our ability to meet the specific needs of our customer airports”, explains Project Manager of atg airports’ Projects Team, Ian Bate. “As well as successfully overcoming the challenge of replacing runway and taxiway lighting cabling that spans a section of the Royal Docks we maintained full operational lighting throughout the entirety of the project – a feat that we are very proud of since it was a key element of the airport’s wishes.”
