CEN 353 summaryAhead of the release of the revised EN 353 standard—due to be published in the latter part of 2014—Latchways is pleased to announce that all of its ManSafe® Vertical systems, and associated devices, have passed all the relevant tests—with no product modifications required!

This standard affects the ManSafe Vertical cable systems and their respective ‘guided type fall arresters’ including: LadderLatch®, ClimbLatch®, TowerLatch® and TowerLatch SP. The key changes in this standard make reference to far more stringent testing of systems and are detailed in a new download: EN 353-1:2014—Summary of key changes.Passing these tests is yet another demonstration of a success story for Latchways’ forward-thinking innovation and engineering. Following the release of EN 795:2012—where the Constant Force® post passed all testing with no product modifications required—with EN 353, customers can rest assured that their Latchways systems have been comprehensively tested and remain compliant with all the latest performance requirements and standards.
