Beumer_Glidepath_Logo_RGB.jpgBeumer Glidepath (BGP), the new entity formed from the merger of Glidepath LLC with Beumer Group, is readying to spur further growth in the USA, Bahamas and Mexico with world leading and integrated high technology and service offerings that meet the needs of airport projects across the BHS and EDS spectrum.

“This is a collegial deal made by two well-known family owned companies of high integrity that are bent on providing modern state of the art systems for USA, Mexico and Bahamas airports out of the Beumer Glidepath facility in Dallas Tx,” says Glidepath Group Chairman, Sir Ken Stevens, whose family has sold a 60 per cent stake in its Dallas-based US subsidiary to Beumer.

Sir Ken, and Glidepath Group advisory board Director, Wayne Collins, plus two Beumer directors form the Board of Beumer Glidepath with 50:50 voting rights and a focus on setting strategy for the new company and ensuring the integration of the businesses is efficient at quarterly meetings.

“The two companies share strong synergies and values. Glidepath is a recognised and respected BHS brand in the US, earned through the successful completion of 223 airport BHS projects since it established its US office in 1983 while Beumer is a new entrant to this market but a world leader in sophisticated new technologies and dealing with large, complex installations,” Sir Ken said.

“I've been in USA bedding in our new majority partner and taking part in a very successful road show around USA to introduce Beumer Glidepath to the industry where Glidepath has many long term and well established industry and customer relationships,” Sir Ken said.

CEO elect, Finn Pedersen, has arrived, met the USA staff, all of whom transferred across from Glidepath LLC to BGP and delivered his inaugural presentation on his plans to integrate Beumer Glidepath into the wider Beumer Group.

Finn is a mechanical and electrical engineer with a great industry pedigree gained in Denmark where he was Operations Manager at Crisplant, a brand well respected in high technology materials handling. He led the R&D team that developed Cris-Bag V and completed the installation in the new Munich airport in 2001.

“It’s all positive,” says Sir Ken. “The forward order book for USA, Mexico and the Bahamas, the territories where BGP will operate, is very healthy and the new business can look forward to drawing on the specialist expertise from both parent companies to win more contracts with a very competitive offering that can cater for large sale and smaller installations with technologies that are compatible with next generation airport security and safety systems."
